Node Technology
Prior to October 2008, South Carolina used a customized version of the Java DNC mode server software. It ran under Oracle Application Server on Windows Server OS. Flows were written in Java.
In October 2008, South Carolina switched over to enfoTech's eNode 2008 node server software, which supports both Node 1.1 and Node 2.0 standards. It runs under Microsoft Internet Information Server on Windows Server OS. Flows are written in Microsoft C#.
The data that flows through SC's Network Node is contained in an Oracle 9i database. The database is maintained via South Carolina's enterprise environmental database application EFIS (Environmetal Facility Information System). EFIS is written in Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports. A major upgrade to EFIS is planned to take place in 2009, when it will be upgraded from Forms/Reports 6i client-server to Forms/Reports10g for the web.
