Node 2.0 Flow Migration Progress Update

To ensure compatibility of flows with Node 2.0, only the Flow Configuration Document needs updating, not the schema. The Exchange Network governance believes the work to migrate most existing data flows to use with Node 2.0 will be minimal. Therefore, a pilot with the Water Quality Exchange (WQX) is being done to demonstrate this with the Flow Configuration Document (FCD) Addendum.

An overview of the changes highlighted in the FCD addenda will be provided during the open call. After the NTG approves it (under consideration 11-12-2008), it will be published. Then the FCD Addenda will be completed for the other 9 major flows to EPA.

EN Discovery Service v2.0 (ENDS 2.0) Update

The Exchange Network Discovery Service (ENDS) has been operational for three years and needs to be updated to be compatible with Node 2.0. The NTG considered multiple architectures for ENDS v2.0, and approved a final version of the ENDS 2.0 FCD and accompanying GetServices schema in September. This call will provide additional details to node administrators and developers on the features and capabilities of ENDS and GetServices.
