NodePing

NodePing is a key function (or "web method") of Exchange Network nodes. It is a utility method for determining whether a Node is accessible. A positive response from the Node indicates that it is live and well. A Network error (no response) or SOAP Fault (not ready) means that the service is not available at this time. NodePing is the only node operation that does not require authentication.

For more information, see the Network Node Functional Specification 2.0.
