The Biodiversity Exchange is an exchange currently in development to add biodiversity data including taxonomic descriptions and species locations to the Network.
NatureServe, a non-profit including Heritage programs and Conservation Data Centers in the US, Canada, and Latin America, is leading the development of this Exchange. Project goals include providing species and habitat data for use with water quality exchanges and publication of a geodatabase of species locations that can be used with presence/absence queries as a prescreening tool.
States that are currently involved with the Biodiversity Exchange include Utah, New York, Delaware, Washington, and Oregon.
